We have arranged a function to be held on Saturday 19th August at the club rooms for former players and members, current players and members (and their partners) to attend inclusive of juniors and seniors. The purpose of the event is to rejuvenate the proud history of the club and to help provide funding for the future activities. The ticket prices will be $55 per person which includes a catered meal. Tickets are paid to the Unimount AFC BNZ bank account (A/C # 02 0224 0277631 025). Please include your name in the particulars. Further details below:
A big thank you to Mt Wellington Foundation Ltd for their grant which has helped us get new goalposts! Our 7-a-side and junior teams will benefit along with other club teams that train at Bill McKinlay on Wednesday nights. Thank you again for your continued support!
The players entered the tournament as Oldman Arthritic in the Over-50s and won silver, losing 1-0 in a tight final against Tasmanian Dads Army. Nevertheless, well done everyone!
We welcome 3 new teams this year to UniMount AFC:
- Auckland Unicorn United (photo of team below)
- Dalian FC, and
- Nixon Park FC
As part of Unimount’s drive towards improved health and safety this year, Trillian Trust have come to the party with a generous grant which will pay for 24 new First Aid Kits for the club, enough to supply every team, including our Juniors, with their own First Aid kit.
The club has already adopted a comprehensive Health and Safety Policy this year, in line with the new Government Health and Safety Regulations and, earlier in the year ,acquired a new defibrillator for the use of all at Bill McKinlay Park. The latter was paid for by a generous donation from club stalwart, Andrew Clements.
Bill McKinlay Park Trust ("Trust") and University-Mt Wellington AFC ("Club") are committed to the provision of a healthy and safe environment for players, officials, spectators, and any other visitors such as contractors and their employees.
Check out the Health & Safety page for more information and key documents.

University-Mount Wellington AFC is a soccer club which formed from an amalgamation of the Auckland University AFC and the Mount Wellington AFC and is based at Bill McKinlay Park in Panmure, Auckland.
It has a long tradition of successfully competing at the highest level with a string of National titles and cup successes.
The club does not currently have a team in the top echelon of New Zealand football or the Northern region. It has decided to focus its resources on a thriving body of social teams, Sunday teams, women's teams and teams from Auckland regional leagues under the umbrella of the regional organisation, the AFF (Auckland Football Federation) Click Here
Not surprisingly, Bill McKinlay Park regularly hosts tournaments such as the Fiji tournament, one of the best attended soccer events in the city and well worth attending, not only for the quality of the football, but also the sheer pageantry and colour on show and more recently the Tri-Nation Series, played between the Football Ferns, The Matildas and North Korea
Of course, the club still hosts other important events at Bill McKinlay Park, which remains one of the best soccer venues in Auckland.
Juniors, you will need to register to NZ Football as well as our UniMount Registration and Payment page.
Junior Football has kicked off this season. Please check out the 'Junior/Top Flight Academy' section under 'Grades/Teams' for more details.
